Are you the one librarian in charge of everything “technology”? Are you struggling with understanding if something is possible or need someone to sanity check a thought?

    OR

Are you a tech savvy librarian who would love to help other librarians in North Carolina with their tech related questions?

Technology and Trends is starting a project to offer volunteer tech question help to NCLA members. If you have a tech related question and you would like to get help from one of our Tech Trends experts, simply fill out this form with your question: https://forms.gle/1Xp31Q3jTLnAbCpj9.

We will get you an answer or at least some guidance about where else you could look!

If you want to be one of our experts, please email khill@ebsco.com to volunteer. Please provide your name, a good email contact, your position, how many questions per month you would like, and a few technologies or subject areas around which you would feel comfortable answering questions. You will get an invite to our question answerer Discord server and invited to our Google form where we will be tracking answers.

    Sponsored by: Technology and Trends

    Deadline: August 20th, 2021

2020-2021 made many libraries rely on technology in all its forms and manifestations more extensively than they ever needed to in the past.  Did you discover a new favorite tool that you think others would want to hear about?  Did you find a way to repurpose an existing technology?  Did you build something that others could replicate?  Have you noticed trends in technology use in your own library that you want to share?  The Technology and Trends Roundtable wants to give you a platform to bring these tools, tricks and trends to a broader audience.  We are currently accepting submissions for 5–7-minute lighting talks on this theme.  Please use the following form to submit your name, library affiliation, and brief description of your talk: https://forms.gle/Bi6Y573SFDP4v6EG9

We will be accepting submissions until August 20th, 2021.  If accepted, talks will be pre-recorded online and will then be shown during the NCLA 2021 conference.

If you have any questions, please contact Kate Hill, Vice-Chair/Chair Elect at khill@ebsco.com
